RUBIO MONOCOAT Precolor Easy is a range of water based pre-colour stains designed to be used in combination with the RMC Oil 2C. They add background colour underneath the oil, to create richer colour or special effects and contrasts.
Suitable: for floors and all interior woodwork such as furniture, doors, trim, shelving etc. Must be over coated with RMC Oil 2C
Appearance: is a matt impregnating stain colour.
Odour: is nil
VOC: is zero
Vapour Permeability: is good, allowing timber to still breathe.
Application: is with a roller and cloth or floor machine, followed by the 2C Oil 1-3 hours later. However like all water based stains there is potential for overlap marks when doing a large area like a floor. These two videos show the recommended procedure for taping sections to minimise overlap marks when applying Precolor Easy to a floor.

Decorative: yes, the combination of these 14 pre colours stain and the 40 different Oil 2C colours over the top of them, allows for an extremely large number of combinations that look superb on furniture and floors.
Drying: full dry in 1 - 3 hours.
