Graining is a removal technique and Uni-Pro Wood Grainer is used to remove areas of freshly applied paint to create the illusion of real woodgrain on the painted surface.

This tool has both an adjustable and detachable handle and can be used on flat surfaces such as mdf or plaster on walls or furniture.

The Uni-Pro Graining Tool has 3 graining surfaces:

• The curved face of the tool is used for heart grain effects
• The notches edge is for quarter sawn effects
• The fine comb edge is best for vein effects.

Directions: Maintain even pressure whilst pulling the tool through the paint or stain. Rocking the grainer back and forth is also a useful technique to create the random effect.
